We have had a very busy week at Haven Jiu Jitsu! We were excited to welcome our third affiliate Dickie White. Dickie is a Law Enforcement Officer and accomplished competitor in Binghamton, New York. I have no doubt that he will bring the highest level of instruction to other LEOs in the Binghamton area.
The Haven Jiu Jitsu gi is available for pre-order and we will release our no-gi apparel next week (LINK to preorder). Because some tournaments require it, the no-gi gear is ranked (colored according to belt rank). Please make sure that you are choosing gear based on your rank and not your favorite color. 😉
Syracuse Grappling Industries is on December 11th. We are dedicated to assuring that our competitors are ready. In addition to our regular Mondays, we will offer a second competition class on Sundays at 11:15am from November until the tournament.
Last Week’s Curriculum:
Adult Gi
- Backside ezekiel and back-take off defending the arm triangle.
No Gi
- Similar to Gi this week. Mount to arm triangle to back take.
Kids/women
- This was the last week of side-control escapes. Reviewing underhook vs overhook side-control escape.
