This past Sunday was a big day for Haven Jiu Jitsu!
We had a great turnout at our Haven on the Hill location inside TruFitness as we celebrated Josh Smith receiving his black belt along with the official ribbon cutting for our second location.
Josh was promoted to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt in front of a packed room of teammates, students, friends, and family. Anyone who has spent time training with Josh knows how much work he has put into Jiu Jitsu over the years. He has been a huge part of Haven and has helped a lot of people on the mats along the way.
We were glad so many people were able to be there for such a well-deserved promotion. Congratulations, Josh!
We also officially cut the ribbon on Haven on the Hill. While we’ve been holding classes at the new location for the past few weeks, Sunday gave us a chance to bring everyone together and celebrate the new space.
Located inside TruFitness at 4651 Nixon Park Drive in Syracuse, Haven on the Hill gives us another place to offer Jiu Jitsu to kids and adults in the Syracuse area.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it such a great day. It was awesome seeing so many members of the Haven community together to celebrate Josh and Haven on the Hill.
